Onion Bhaji
A delicious snack, served hot or cold.
6 medium to large Onions
1 cup Plain flour
1 tsp Ground corriander
1 tsp Ground cumin
1 tsp Ground ginger
1 tsp Garam massala
1 tsp Ground Turmeric
1 tsp Chilli powder
Enough water to make a stiff batter
Oil for frying

Half then onions, then slice to about 1/4" thick. Gently fry the onions in a little oil until they are soft and translucent. Add half the spices to the onions and gently stir taking care not to break up the onions.
Sift the flour into a bowl and stir in the remaining spices. Add the softened onion slices to the flour and mix well.
Add the water a little at a time until a sticky batter coats the onion slices. Extra flour or water can be added if required
Place lumps of the mix on a greased baking sheet.
Bake in oven for 10 mins, then spray with a little oil.
Bake for a further 10 mins.
Turn over, spray with more oil and bake for another 15 - 20 mins.
